In much of my work, I aim to take a moment and slow it down. I want to romanticize the subtle details, press pause so that the viewer notices little beautiful pieces they may have overlooked before. I seek out colors in unexpected places. From the marshland, to the waterways, to the streets of downtown Charleston, the Lowcountry setting shapes the majority of my artwork.
